Cathy R. Iles

Bio:

Cathy graduated magna cum laude from the James E. Rogers College of Law (formerly the University of Arizona College of Law) in 1993. She attended law school on a full academic scholarship, was a publishing member of the Arizona Law Review, a member of the Order of the Coif, and received the American Jurisprudence award in evidence. Cathy was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 1993, the State Bar of California in 1994, and the State Bar of Texas in 1997; her bar admissions also include the United States District Courts for the Central District of Arizona, Northern District of Texas, and Central and Eastern Districts of California. Cathy now exclusively practices in California Superior Court. Cathy’s career began representing creditors and debtors in Chapter 11 proceedings, working at medium and large firms in Arizona, Dallas, and Los Angeles. In 2002, Cathy relocated with her family to South Lake Tahoe, California where her practice shifted to focus almost exclusively on family law cases. While in South Lake Tahoe, she was honored by an opportunity to represent dependency (child protective services), delinquency (juvenile criminal), and criminal clients. Her practice then expanded to a broader-based child and parent representation, still focusing on family law issues and cases.

Cathy returned to her hometown of Long Beach, where her parents still reside, in 2008. In Long Beach, Cathy remained a sole practitioner for over ten years, continuing to focus exclusively on family law cases. She took pride in providing quality, professional, service in assisting clients navigate difficult legal and personal terrain. Having focused, for almost twenty years, solely on helping clients meet their difficult family needs, Cathy has extensive trial experience as well as significant experience in consensual case resolution.
